R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Let Us Pray.
Grant us, O Most Divine Trinity, that we may obtain the generosity and sacrifice, embraced so willingly by St. Joan of Arc, here on Earth. May her heavenly intercession be always with us throughout our lives. May we always be receptive to all of Thy holy inspirations and we ask that we may faithfully fulfill all that is required of us with strength and courage as St. Joan once did. May the life and mission of St. Joan of Arc, Thy persecuted daughter, be our guide to our eternal glory. Through Christ Our Lord.
R. Amen

Composed by a Dominican Brother
In honor of the Heroine of Christ, St. Joan of Arc
&
dedicated to her friends, defenders and helpers

Fr. Martin Ladvenu, O.P.
(He visited her frequently in jail. Also, he went to the Bishop to get permission for her to receive the Last Sacraments. Prepared her for death the morning of May 30, 1429. He walked side by side with her in procession to the execution and held the Crucifix before her, as requested by St. Joan, as she was burning at the stake. He stayed to the end.)

Fr. Jean Toutmouille, O.P.
(He also, went to the Bishop to get permission for her to receive the Last Sacraments. He assisted Fr. Martin Ladvenu, O.P. with the Last Rites to prepare her for her execution.)

Fr. Isambard de la Pierre, O.P.
(He visited her frequently in jail, and was threatened for doing so. He also stood with Fr. Martin Ladvenu, O.P. and St. Joan in the procession to her execution. It was he that St. Joan of Arc begged to obtain her a crucifix to be held upright before her eyes until her death, so the Cross upon which God hung might as long as she lived, appear before her. He retrieved the Cross and Fr. Martin held it before her. He stayed to the end.)

Fr. William Duval, O.P.
(Sometimes spelled Daval)
(He visited her frequently in jail with Fr. Isambard de la Pierre, O.P and offered her the Sacraments.)

All four priests testified in the re-trial, at great risk and loss. They all attested that St. Joan of Arc was virtuous and that her prophecies were authentic and proven. They confirmed that she was directed by God.
